  • When a tender papaya is pierced, thick white milk oozes. This milk can be applied on the mouth sores for rapid healing.
  • Triphala choornam 3 gm along with adhimadhuram 2 gm and ghee can be mixed together to make a fine paste. This can be applied over the ulcers for healing. Apply this paste before going to bed in the night.
  • Mahathikthakam when taken in the morning and evening on an empty stomach helps in curing these ulcers.
  • Eat plenty of raw onions as salad as they contain sulfur, which has effective healing property.
  • You diet must include yogurt and other soured products like buttermilk and cotton cheese.
  • Rinse your mouth with milk of magnesia as it coats the mouth.
  • Chew 5 to 6 leaves of holy basil a day. This is another effective remedy for sores.
  • Mix a pinch of turmeric powder with 1 tablespoon of glycerin and apply this to the sore site. It relieves the pain and aids in fast healing.
  • Peppermint oil is another excellent remedy for treating mouth sores.
  • Vitamin C deficiencies are another cause for these sores and so, drink plenty of orange juice.
  • Avoid stress and try stress-relieving acupressure exercises.
  • Raw tomatoes also help to rid mouth ulcers. You can gargle with tomato juice two to three times a day.
